HOUSTON -– Thunderstorms will move through the Houston area on Thursday, bringing cool temperatures, but until then it will be warm and muggy, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temperatures in the early morning hours on Tuesday were in the low-70s. This afternoon we’ll top out in the mid-80s under sunny skies.
The warm weather continues on Wednesday but with a few more clouds in the sky and a 20-percent chance for rain.
On Thursday, a cool front will bring big changes to the forecast. There’s a 60-percent chance for rain, and our afternoon high will be around 80 degrees.
“There is a chance for some severe weather on Thursday,” said Gomez. “Our futurecast is showing the possibility of straightline winds and small hail.”
Friday will be great with an afternoon high around 70 degrees and sunny, pleasant skies. The cool temps carry over into Saturday with warmer temperatures returning on Sunday.
By Monday we’ll be back in the 80s.
