HOUSTON -- Clouds have started to thicken up Friday night, but we shouldn’t get any precipitation from these high clouds, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Areas near the coast could wake up to some patchy fog both Saturday and Sunday mornings

Overnight lows will be in the 50’s on the northwest side. Afternoon highs on Saturday will be in the upper 70’s.

For the central and southern areas, overnight lows will be right around 60. Highs on Saturday will be near 80.

If you’re wondering if these high temps are normal for this time of year, they’re not. We’re normally at 63 degrees north of I-10 and 64 degrees for the areas south of 1-10.

Our spring-like conditions will continue through Tuesday.

Wednesday is when we expect to get our next cold front and a round of rain. The forecast calls for a 40-percent chance for showers.

Cooler and more seasonable weather begins Wednesday and will last through the end of the work week with highs in the 60’s and lows in the 40’s.

Have a great weekend!
