HOUSTON – It will be another warm and muggy day in southeast Texas on Wednesday, but changes are on the way, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Wednesday afternoon we’ll top out around 79 degrees under cloudy skies. Our chance for scattered showers increases overnight as a front moves through the area.
By Thursday morning we’ll be in the low-50s under mostly sunny skies.
“We’re not going to see much of a change Thursday,” said Johnson. “All day we’ll be in the 50s, and by Friday morning we’ll be starting off near the freezing point.”
On Friday we’ll start the day in the low-30s and reach the low-60s. Saturday afternoon is slightly warmer under mostly sunny skies. By Sunday we’ll start to see scattered showers again as temps approach 70 degrees.
Taking a look at Christmas Eve, temperatures will top out around 68 degrees with a 40-percent chance of rain. On Christmas Day we’ll have temps around 69 degrees with a 50-percent chance of rain.
