HOUSTON -- Friday afternoon will be warm and muggy leading us into a weekend with a good chance for rain, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Some rain was reported north of the Houston area in the early afternoon hours. Closer to the city, the skies will be partly cloudy with a high temperature of 80 degrees.
“We won’t have any weather problems with our rush hour traffic Friday,” said Gomez. “Even through Saturday afternoon we have only a slight chance for developing showers.”
Looking to the weekend, there’s a slight chance for showers on Saturday with a high temp of 82 degrees. On Sunday, there’s a 40-percent chance of scattered showers.
Our 80-degree temperatures will continue through the next work week. With those warm temperatures comes a chance for rain each day.
