HOUSTON— Tuesday will bring another day with duck-and-dodge showers and thunderstorms, 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.
“We will still get pretty warm before the rains move in, probably in the mid-90s,” he said. “Keep the umbrella handy because you will need it throughout the day.”
The seven-day forecast shows an end to the showery pattern by the time we get to Thursday.
“Believe it or not, a cool front is headed our way, that may help touch off showers and thunderstorms as we head toward the first weekend in September,” Norman said.
Hurricane Earl is brewing in the tropics and is expected to increase to a Category 4 by Tuesday, and while the storm will not get a direct hit on land or bring any harm to the southern states, the track is going to create some dangerous surf for the East Coast.
