HOUSTON—As the rain and clouds move out of the area, temperatures are going to continue to rise, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
"Temperatures are going to go up. We had a break at the beginning of the week but that is going to change," said Johnson.
Highs this afternoon are in the low 90s and every day that is going to climb. Saturday and Sunday will see highs in the mid-90s and by early next week, Houston may see the 100 degree mark.
Hurricane Chris is moving east, so it is not something to worry about for the time being.
