HOUSTON -- We’re going to have a sunny and cool Valentine’s Day, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul

Overnight lows will dip into the 30’s in the Houston area.

It’ll be sunny and cool on Thursday. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-to-upper 60’s. For those taking their loved ones out on the town, it will be clear and chilly by dinner time.

We’ll finish the work week with similar conditions on Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend, the high is only 57 degrees with mostly cloudy skies on Saturday. On Sunday, expect sunny skies and a high temp of 65 degrees.

We’ll get our next round of showers on Monday. The forecast is calling for a 30-percent chance for rain.
