HOUSTON – It will be a hot, muggy start to the work week for those in Southeast Texas, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“The temperatures will climb quickly this morning,” said Johnson. “This afternoon we’re going to be above average for our high temperature.”
The forecast high Monday and Tuesday is 98 degrees. On Wednesday, the high temperature drops to 96 degrees.
Johnson reminds everyone to stay in the shade when possible, keep hydrated, and use your sunscreen.
Temperatures remain hot heading into the weekend, and the only chance of rain comes Sunday with a 20-percent chance in the Houston area.
