HOUSTON -- A couple of light showers are popping up north of Houston Friday evening. By midnight, scattered showers are possible across much of southeast Houston, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight it will be in the mid-to-upper 30s in areas north of Houston. Spots south of Houston should also expect a cloudy and chilly night with temps in the upper 30s to low 40s.

There’s a 30 percent chance of rain on Saturday, so Texans tailgaters should prepare to get wet. The high will be in the 50s, and the rain should taper off by 8:00 p.m.

Sunshine returns on Sunday and there will be a mix of clouds and sun on Monday.

KHOU 11 News is monitoring a possible severe weather threat and a chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday.
