HOUSTON – Keep your umbrella handy, more rain is expected Wednesday, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman said.
“We will wake up to a muggy hazy morning with a couple of coastal showers,” he said.
Norman said we will likely see the same type of storms we experienced on Tuesday on Wednesday as well. But the coverage may be a little bit less on Wednesday.
“We’re going to be seeing this pattern until we can get this rainmaker out of the way,” he said. “It’s an upper level low pressure system that draws moisture out of the Gulf and sends it inland.”
That’s what we’ve been seeing for the last couple of days.
“Maybe by Thursday or Friday we’ll finally break out of this, but unfortunately we’ll have to deal with high heat,” he said.
The seven-day forecast shows decreasing rain chances heading toward the end of the week, but increasing temperatures.
Wednesday will begin with lows in the mid-70s and will warm up to the low-90s.
