HOUSTON -- It was a winter day for sure in southeast Texas on Wednesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.

There were a few reports of a sleet pellets mixing with rain from Tomball to Spring. But temps are well above freezing at the surface, so travel or icing problems won’t be an issue.

The few sleet pellets possible are possible Wednesday night, but they’ll taper off by midnight. It’ll be near freezing overnight and mostly cloudy.

Thursday will be a cold and cloudy day. Highs are in the low 50s or upper 40s. Light rain is possible.

For those who plan to tailgate on Saturday at the Texans-Bengals game, it’ll be cloudy and cool. The temperature will be 53 at kickoff, and it’ll fall to 50 by the end of the game. There’s also a slight chance of rain.
