HOUSTON -- A cold front will reach downtown Houston right around midnight and rain showers will move in behind it, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight temperatures will dip into the 40’s. There may be a thin band of showers that moves in along with the front.

By 7 a.m. Wednesday, we’ll have rainy and breezy conditions. Be sure to grab a jacket and an umbrella before you head out the door. Winds throughout the day will gust to 15-20 mph. Highs in the afternoon will only be in the upper 50’s and low 60’s. The normal high temps for this time of year is 80 degrees.

There is a slight possibility that we may have reports of small hail with some of the heavier downpours in the afternoon.

It will still be wet on Thursday, but the high temp is 72 degrees. We return to 80 degree temperatures on Friday.

The weekend looks really nice with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80’s.
