HOUSTON –- Fat Tuesday will start out cloudy with a chance for rain, but we should start seeing some clearing by late afternoon, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

This will set us up for several beautiful days through the weekend.

“Grab the jackets and umbrellas out the door today, but after today you will not need that umbrella for about a week,” said Johnson. “At lunchtime I think that’s the best chance for developing thunderstorms, and then later today we go back to that scattered shower activity.”

Johnson said the skies should start to clear no later than 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. This afternoon our temps will top out in the mid-60s.

Wednesday through the weekend will be mostly sunny with daytime temperatures in the low-60s and overnight temps in the low-40s and upper-30s.
