HOUSTON -- Much of southeast Texas woke up to scattered showers early Monday, and the wet weather is expected to carry over into Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“As you hit the road this morning you’re going to notice some damp to maybe slick roadways,” said Johnson. “It’s mainly in our northern counties we’re seeing the heavy rain early this morning. Later we should start to see some of these showers move closer into town.”
There’s about a 30- to 40-percent chance of rain for the rest of the day. Our afternoon temps will top out in the upper-60s.
Tuesday there’s a 50-percent chance of rain with temps in the mid-60s.
Starting Wednesday the sun will return and our daytime temps will drop into the low-60s. Overnight temps later this week will be in the 30s.
