HOUSTON -- The great weather we had this weekend is coming to an end with the start of our work week, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

“We have a chance for scattered rain around noon, but it’s really after 5 p.m. we have our best chance for showers and thunderstorms.”

Johnson said the rain could move in as late as 10 p.m.

There’s a 40-percent chance of rain Monday as temps top out in the mid-70s.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with early morning temperatures in the upper-40s and daytime temperatures in the upper-60s.

The rain returns Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before clearing out again for the weekend.

Be safe and keep your umbrella handy this week.
