HOUSTON -- Out the door Friday morning you probably noticed an increase in clouds.

Some scattered showers were reported in the rural parts of Houston, but the real chance for rain doesn't arrive until Saturday.

On Friday there's a 30-percent chance of rain with a high temperature of 67-degrees. Saturday the rain chance is upped to 40-percent with afternoon temps in the 70s. Sunday is even warmer with a 60-percent chance of rain.

Things will clear out nicely for the start of our work week on Monday, and temps will drop back into the upper-60s and low-70s.

Looking ahead to Christmas, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said it’s going to be cold. The 12-day forecast shows a high of 42 on Christmas Eve and a high of 45 on Christmas Day. Because this is a long-range forecast, these conditions are subject to change.
