HOUSTON—Thunderstorms affected multiple counties across the Houston area over Saturday afternoon, and the dark rain clouds are still affecting northern counties overnight.
By 6:30 p.m., 17,000 homes are without power in west and north Harris County.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 7 p.m. for Grimes and Montgomery Counties. The rainfall will likely keep traffic slow and temperatures relatively low this evening.
"We’re not done with our rain by a long shot," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
More isolated, heavy thundershowers are expected on Sunday with odds at 60%. By Monday, conditions will shift and rain will be less likely.
