HOUSTON –- We got a good soaking in the Houston area Wednesday as a line of showers swept in from the west and more is heading our way, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

"The worse is yet to come.  We got an initial barrage of rain early in the day for the first part of the rush hour, but it's the second rush hour during the afternoon on the way home that I am kind of worried about," Gomez said.  "We are going to see some hydroplaning, possibly, on some of the roadways."

There’s a 100-percent chance of rain through tonight with a forecast high of 68 degrees.

Thursday and Friday we’ll have sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-70s.

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday we have a new chance for rain as temperatures drop back into the low-70s heading into our work week.
