HOUSTON -- Nice weather returns to southeast Texas on Tuesday, but it won’t last for long, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Temperatures in the early morning hours were in the 40s across the Houston area.
“Out the door this morning you’ll still find some clouds out there,” said Johnson. “Your temperatures at lunch time will be in the lower-60s, and then afternoon highs build into the upper-60s. It’s a really mild, gorgeous day.”
There will be a light breeze much of the day under mostly sunny skies.
The rain returns Wednesday and Thursday. The extended forecast calls for a 70-percent chance for showers on both days. There’s a chance for stronger storms on Thursday.
Friday there’s a 20-percent chance for rain, leading us into a pleasant weekend.
