HOUSTON -– Friday will be cloudy, mild, and dry leading us into a wet weekend, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Early morning temperatures were around 60 degrees in the Houston area. This afternoon we’ll top out in the low-70s.
Saturday, daytime temps will also be in the low 70s but with a 20-percent chance of rain.
“I’m watching the west,” said Johnson. “There’s a cold front directly moving from the west to the east, and it’s going to be moving in late Saturday evening into Sunday morning.”
Sunday the chance for rain jumps to 50-percent, but temps will remain on the warm side.
By Monday the rain clears out, leaving us with cooler daytime temperatures in the low-60s. Early morning temperatures next week will be in the mid-40s.
