HOUSTON— Rain coverage is not expected to be very widespread Tuesday afternoon but there is still a 30 to 40-percent chance that some areas will see some rain.
Around noon, there were a few light showers in town along I-10 towards the east side. West of Pearland and between Matagorda and Wharton Counties, there have been some lightning strikes. Storms should be brief in nature, so if you get caught under one, it won’t last long.
After 6 p.m., rain chances decrease through the rest of the week when we’re just looking at hot, humid weather with highs in the upper-90s.
"Get ready to sweat. It is going to be hot," said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
