HOUSTON—Heavy thunderstorms are expected to roll across the Houston area in three stages Tuesday. We had a slippery morning, can expect a messy afternoon and a stormy evening.
Tuesday kicked off with lows in the lower-70s and highs are expected to top off in the lower-80s. Morning commuters had a slippery drive into work, but things could get down-right nasty later in the day.
“Round two will fire as we head toward late morning along a frontal boundary to the north. Those showers will push into Houston by late morning/ early afternoon, that’s when we could see some of that street flooding that we saw yesterday,” said Paul.
As far as the tropics are concerned; there is nothing brewing out in the Atlantic. Hurricanes Daniel and Emilia are stirring in the Pacific, but will be no threat to land.
