HOUSTON -- The northern counties will have a freeze overnight, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. Harris County and the downtown area should avoid a freeze.

From Conroe and Cleveland northward it’ll be near or a little below freezing. The north and northeast parts of our viewing area (Conroe, Huntsville and Livingston) will be the coldest with temps between 28 and32 degrees. Be sure to cover your plants and make sure pets have a warm place to sleep.

From Houston to the Gulf Coast, temps will range overnight between 32 and 40 degrees.

After a cold start to the day in the 30’s, we’ll spend most of the day in the 50’s as the temperature struggles to reach 60 degrees on Tuesday.

We have a slight rain chance on Friday at 20-percent. Our rain chances increase on Saturday and Sunday to 30-percent.
