HOUSTON -- Did you plant your spring garden or new flowers? If so, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul says new spring garden or flowers will need to be covered Monday night because of a light freeze.

A Freeze Warning is in effect Monday night from Conroe northward. Lows in the 20's are possible.

Overnight in the northern counties, temps will be in the upper 20’s in Huntsville, Conroe and Livingston. The rest of the area will have overnight lows at or below 32 degrees.

The southern counties will have overnight lows between 32 and 37 degrees. For the immediate Houston area, the morning low on Tuesday will be 36 degrees. The normal low for this time of year is 54 degrees.

By noon, the temperature will rise to the mid-50’s, but the afternoon high for Tuesday is only 61 degrees. Normally temps should be in the mid-70’s.

Highs through Thursday will be in the upper 60’s and low 70’s.

Temperatures return to normal on Friday with highs in the upper 70’s. There is a slight to moderate chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday.
