HOUSTON -- We’ll have more sunshine on Friday, but the sun will go away for a few days because our next storm system will move into the area this weekend.
Thursday night temps will dip into the upper 40’s and low 50’s. There’s a strong chance of fog Friday morning, so use caution during your morning commute.
During the day on Friday, temps will be in the low 70’s and there will be a mix of sun and clouds.
Right now Houston’s next storm system is brewing in the Rockies, but when it reaches the area it will bring cold air and rain beginning on Saturday. Temps will drop and it’ll be colder and rainy on Sunday.
If you’re running in the Houston half marathon or marathon, it will be cold. Temps will get colder throughout the day. Sunday at 7:00 a.m. it’ll be 57. By 9:00 a.m. it will drop to 52 and by noon it’ll be 49. There will be north wind of 15 mph and there’s a 50 percent chance for rain.
The weather won’t change much over the next few days. The breezy, chilly and wet conditions will continue through Wednesday. Temps to be in the upper 40’s and there’s a 50 percent chance of rain each of those days.
