HOUSTON—There’s very little chance of rain in the Houston area Thursday, but all that will change in the coming days, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.
Thursday, there is a 20-percent chance of isolated showers with a forecast high of 95 degrees, but the rain chances jump to 50 percent Saturday and Sunday.
“If you have plans this weekend, plan for some rain,” said Paul. “By Saturday, the rain is moving in. Sunday it’s here, and Monday it’s sticking around. There will probably be enough for it to linger into next week.”
On Friday, there is a 30-percent chance of rain.
Temps through the weekend will be in the mid-90s.
Meanwhile in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Gordon’s sustained winds were at 40 miles per hour as of Thursday morning. The storm is heading back into open waters and will not affect the United States.
