HOUSTON – The Houston area was still on the warm and muggy side in the early morning hours Friday, but a cool front should bring changes later in the day, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.

“For shoppers, about midday you may see some showers,” said Gomez. “Rain, along with the cold front, will push into the Gulf of Mexico by five or six o’clock this evening.”

There’s a 30-percent chance of scattered showers Friday with a forecast high of 72-degrees.

On Saturday, we’ll have sunny skies with a forecast high of 66-degrees. Sunday’s weather will also be pleasant with a high temp of 73-degrees.

Heading into the work week we’ll be back in the upper-70s before a chance for rain cools things off again.
