HOUSTON –- Early morning temperatures were at the freezing mark early Wednesday for some northern counties, but this afternoon we’ll warm up nicely, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

We’ll top out in the mid-60s Wednesday under mostly sunny skies.

“It’s going to be on the cool side for most of the day today,” said Johnson. “It is going to be gorgeous this afternoon. The winds have finally died down, and the sun will be out.”

The rest of this week looks pleasant as a few clouds move back in.

This weekend our daytime temps warm back up into the 70s, bringing a chance for rain.
