HOUSTON -- The predicted thunderstorms finally arrived late Wednesday evening, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul. There’s a 50 percent chance for rain and thunder overnight into Thursday morning.

Overnight lows on the north side will be in the mid-40’s with scattered rain showers. On the south side, temps will be in the upper 40’s and showers are expected to continue overnight and into the morning commute.

Temps will slowly warm up on Thursday. The morning will start off with temps in the 40’s. By noon, temps will near 60 degrees and they’ll increase to almost 70 degrees by 3 p.m.

We’ll have cool mornings and warm afternoons Friday through Sunday. Temperatures should reach 80 degrees Sunday afternoon.
