HOUSTON -- We’ll see scattered showers this weekend under cloudy skies, but next week we’ll have an even greater chance to see the wet stuff, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Our early morning temperatures Friday were around 60 degrees. This afternoon there will be a mix of clouds and sun with a forecast high of 76 degrees.
“There’s a lot more cloud cover out there, but any rain we see will generally be from isolated showers over the weekend,” said Gomez. “Southerly winds are coming in over the Gulf Coast region, and every now and then you may see a stray shower in those clouds.”
On Saturday there’s a 20-percent chance for rain, and on Sunday there’s a 30-percent chance. Both days will have afternoon highs in the upper-70s.
The scattered rain and clouds carries over into Monday with a forecast high of 80 degrees.
Tuesday is the day we’ll really start to see some changes. Our daytime temps drop to the low-60s as a cool front brings a 40-percent chance of rain. The rain and cool temps continue Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
