HOUSTON – Houstonians were kept waiting for those nice early morning cooler temperatures on Wednesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Overnight temperatures only bottomed out at 71 degrees. The forecast high for the day remained at 86 degrees.
“It is going to be much cooler tomorrow,” said Johnson. “I know this morning we were expecting a little bit of a change. That drier air is hanging out in Central and North Texas, so we’re just waiting for that to push through.
On Thursday we should feel real changes with early morning temperatures in the upper-50s. The afternoon high will still jump into the upper-80s, however.
Overall, the seven-day forecast calls for beautiful weather across the Houston area with mild temps and no chance for rain.
Fall officially begins Saturday at 9:49 a.m.
