HOUSTON –- Enjoy the easy commute Wednesday morning because Thursday morning could be a mess as a storm system approaches from the north, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There’s a 50-percent chance of rain Wednesday, mainly later in the day. Temperatures will be in the low-60s.
“Twenty-four hours from now we could be dealing with some severe weather,” said Johnson. “We have cold air to our north moving in on warm moist air from the Gulf. Those are going to collide, and that’s what’s going to create the potential for severe weather Thursday morning.”
Storms will start to move into the Houston area in the early morning hours, bringing a 70-percent chance of rain Thursday. Daytime temps will be in the mid-70s.
Friday there’s a 20-percent chance of rain with temps in the low-70s.
This weekend looks nice with mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures.
