HOUSTON -- We have another strong cold front will move into our area at the end of the week, said KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul. As a result, we could have severe weather on Thursday and we will have much colder temperatures this weekend.
It will be warm and breezy Tuesday night with lows in the 70’s.
Expect another summer-like day on Wednesday with temps in the mid-80’s. It will be partly cloudy for most of the day, but there is a 20 percent chance for rain showers.
Our best chance for rain and thunderstorms is on Thursday. Between 3 and 6 p.m., a line of thunderstorms will move into southeast Texas. By 11 p.m., the storms should move off the coast. The severe threats for the day include heavy rain, street flooding, quarter-size hail and straight line wind damage.
After the storms move out, the temperature will drop. The morning low on Friday is 48 degrees, while the high temp for the afternoon is 67.
