HOUSTON -- A front is expected to push through the Houston area as the work week comes to a close, meaning wet weather is probably on the way.
"A front will touch off showers and thunderstorms here in the Houston area tomorrow afternoon," Norman said. "After those storms move out, high pressure builds in and we're looking to a pretty nice start to the Labor Day weekend."
All that rain will keep temperatures down, too. Norman said we’ll see a high of 90 degrees around noon, but it will drop into the 80s and stay there around dinner time.
Saturday and Sunday will see lows in the upper-60s to low-70s, and highs will top out in the upper-80s to low-90s, with lower humidity. More rain is expected to return on Labor Day, though.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Earl has weakened to a Category 3 storm as it brushes the East Coast. Head to Hurricane Central for the latest on the tropical weather.
