HOUSTON – Scattered showers moved through Houston once again on Thursday morning, but the rain isn't expected to be as widespread later on in the day, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
There’s a 40-percent chance for showers Thursday with a forecast high of 92 degrees.
On Friday the rain chance drops to 20 percent and the high temperature will reach about 94 degrees.
This weekend looks sunny and dry with daytime temps in the low- to mid-90s. A slight chance for rain returns next week.
Looking to the tropics, we’re keeping an eye on a tropical wave that has a 70-percent chance of developing further in the Caribbean. It could bring us some rain toward the end of next weekend, but it's unclear where it will go at this point. Over the next few days we’ll have a much better idea of where it’s heading. In the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Erin formed early this morning, but it’s too soon to tell where it will go.
