HOUSTON -- Tuesday afternoon will be hot and muggy with a good chance for scattered showers, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.
By 10 a.m., small showers were already popping out west and north of the city. As of 1 p.m. thunderstorms were spotted in far west Fort Bend County.
There's a 40-percent chance for rain through this afternoon with a forecast high of 94 degrees.
The chance for isolated showers continues Wednesday and Thursday as our afternoon temperatures approach the upper-90s.
By Friday the skies will be clear. The forecast through the weekend and into next week calls for lots of sunshine and heat.
