HOUSTON – We may not hit triple digits on Friday after all, but it’s still going to be a hot and humid start to your weekend, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“It’s very similar to what we had yesterday,” said Johnson. “We have a very warm and muggy morning, and then this afternoon it will be a hot one.”
It will be mostly sunny this afternoon with a forecast high of 98 degrees. The “feels like” temperature will be in the 100s, however.
There’s still a chance for scattered showers on Saturday and Sunday, and by next week our daytime temperatures will be back in the mid-90s.
Looking to the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Dorian continues to move northwest at 20 mph. It has maximum sustained winds at 50 mph. The current models show it just east of Cuba by Wednesday. It’s then expected to make an easterly turn, so it’s not yet known if it will affect the U.S. at all.
