HOUSTON –- Wednesday is a transition day for weather in the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

It’s getting warmer and cloudier outside. We’ll top out around 85 degrees Wednesday afternoon with a 10-percent chance for rain.

Thursday will be similar with a 40-percent chance for rain.

“We’ll have a chance for stray showers on Wednesday and Thursday,” said Johnson. “But it’s Friday night when, if you have any plans outside, I’d probably try and rearrange them. We are looking at the possibility of some heavy rainfall moving in for the first part of your weekend.”

Friday there’s a 70-percent chance for rain that carries over into early Saturday.

The rain chance starts to decrease Sunday, but our temperatures stay warm – in the mid- to upper-80s.

Next week is looking nicer with just a few clouds in the sky.
