HOUSTON -- The warming trend from the weekend will turn into unseasonable warmth for the first half of the new work week, according to KHOU 11 New Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
Temps will start out in the upper-50s in what is expected to be a muggy Monday. After the cloud coverage clears out by the afternoon, the sun will heat things up with highs peaking at 77.
The trend will continue until Arctic air returns to the Houston area late Thursday dropping temps throughout the day on Friday. The cold air will drop lows down into the 30s heading into the weekend.
