HOUSTON – A warming trend will allow the Houston-area to shed a few layers this weekend as temps inch their way closer to 70 degrees, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
Temps started off in the upper-30s Saturday morning, but will get up to the mid-60s with some sun and clouds in the afternoon.
The trend will continue Sunday with lows in the low-50s and highs peaking at 70 with some more cloud coverage.
The warm air flowing in from the southeast will continue to push out the holiday chill.
There is a 10 percent chance of rain so you may see some sprinkles in the evening, but the likelihood of rain will not come until Monday and Tuesday.
Afternoon highs will continue to rise daily, reaching the lower-70s by next week.
