HOUSTON — Warmer temperatures are on the way to the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
We started off in the 50s early this morning but will quickly warm up to the mid-70s Friday afternoon. There’s a 20-percent chance for rain.
“The arctic air is continuing to push away from Houston,” said Johnson. “High pressure is in control, and that’s why we’re going to continue to see high winds out of the south.”
This weekend will also be warm and muggy with a chance for scattered showers and temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s.
By Tuesday the clouds will start to move out, and our daytime temperatures will drop back into the 60s.
