HOUSTON – Humidity and slightly warmer temperatures make a return Monday along with a slight chance for rain, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.

The Houston area was in the 50s and 60s early this morning, and we’ll top out around 75 degrees this afternoon.

“We’ll have higher humidity today along with warmer temperatures,” said Johnson. “It’ll still be on the chilly side in our morning hours, but it will warm up quickly.”

Johnson said we have a chance for sprinkles along the coast in the morning hours, and then there’s a 20 percent chance for stray showers across Houston in the afternoon hours.

Tuesday and Wednesday the temperatures increase along with the chance for rain as a cool front moves through.

By Thursday the rain will be gone; our early morning temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s, and our daytime temps will be in the upper-60s and lower-70s.

This coming weekend is looking really nice with pleasant daytime temps under mostly sunny skies.
