HOUSTON — Warmer temperatures are on the way to the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Brooks Garner.

We started off in the 50s early Friday morning but will quickly warm up to the mid-70s this afternoon. There’s a 10-percent chance for rain.

This weekend will also be warm and muggy with a chance for scattered showers and temperatures in the upper-70s and low-80s.

Temps will start off in the mid-60s Saturday morning for the Heart & Stroke Walk at Reliant Park. You may need an extra layer for to start the day, but should be able to shed it by the late morning.

By Tuesday the clouds will start to move out, and our daytime temperatures will drop back into the 60s.
