HOUSTON – A Wind Advisory will be in effect until 6 p.m. as Monday continues to be a warm, breezy day, KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
The National Weather Service has also issued a Fire Weather Watch for Tuesday as the dry conditions and winds increase the chance of fires developing. Sustained winds will stay at about 20 mph with some areas already recording peak wind gusts at 42 mph.
Highs for the Houston area hovered in the mid-70s at about noon and will peak at 78 later Monday afternoon.
The KHOU 11 News Weather Team is also tracking a dry cold front, which should arrive Tuesday morning bringing some cloud coverage and cooler temperatures with it.
