Houston Forecast: Warm, wet Tuesday; cold front coming

HOUSTON — Tuesday will be a warm and wet day especially heading into the afternoon as a cold front gets closer to the Houston area, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.

Overnight temps will get down to 70 degrees for Tuesday morning. There’s a 40-percent chance of rain Tuesday with highs in the mid-80s as well.

As the cold front moves through the Houston area overnight on Tuesday there will a slight chance for thunderstorms.

On Wednesday, the possibility of rain increases with a 40 percent chance of rain. The front will lower highs to the mid-70s and lows in the upper-50s.

We could even see temps in the 60s on Wednesday afternoon.

Scattered rain continues the rest of the week, but we’ll head into the weekend with daytime temperatures in the low- to mid-70s and overnight lows in the 60s.
