HOUSTON -– Monday started out cool in the Houston area, but there’s no need for a jacket, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
“We’re going to go from the 60s to the 80s pretty quickly today,” said Johnson. “We have moisture moving in from the west with an area of low pressure well to our northwest, so that’s why this evening we have about a 20-percent chance for a few stray showers. Throughout the day, however, we’ll stay dry.”
The rain chance carries over into early Tuesday. That afternoon we’ll top out in the mid-80s.
Later this week, our daytime temperatures will increase by a few more degrees as clouds and another slight rain chance return Friday and Saturday.
By early next week another cool front should be moving through.
