HOUSTON — Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts as another cold front is on the way, according to KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul.
For now, the weather is going to cooperate as the festivities for RodeoHouston get under way along with the ongoing Mardi Gras celebration on Galveston Island.
Temps will start out in the low-60s Saturday morning with warm and humid weather expected for most of the day. We could see some more sunshine towards the afternoon as some of clouds clear out with highs in the upper-70s.
Our chance for rain returns Sunday just ahead of a cold front slated to arrive later in the evening. There is a 60 percent chance for rain Sunday with the possibility of some isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon.
Highs will remain in the upper-70s on Sunday before the cold front drops temps down to the 50s for Monday and Tuesday.
Northern parts of the KHOU 11 viewing area could see freezing temps early Monday.
Next week is looking cool – with daytime temps in the mid-50s and overnight lows in the 30s once again by Wednesday.
