HOUSTON – More seasonal weather is on the way Wednesday but for now, the above-normal temperatures will continue Monday afternoon with highs in the upper-70s, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.

Skies will remain cloudy with a 20 percent chance for some isolated showers Monday afternoon. There will be sustained winds of 15-16 mph out of the southeast with wind gusts in the 20 to 25 mph range.

Those winds are bringing moisture into the area just ahead of the cold front slated to arrive Tuesday afternoon.

The front is likely to bring severe weather to the northern part of the KHOU 11 viewing area, and thunderstorms to the rest of the Houston area with a 60 percent chance of rain.

Come Wednesday, temperatures will get back to normal for this time of year with highs in the low-60s and lows in the mid-40s for the rest of the week.
