HOUSTON –There is a chance for rain Tuesday, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.
The day will begin with lows in the mid-70s, and by noon it will be hot and muggy. Our highs will be near 90 degrees.
“Tuesday afternoon scattered thunderstorms will begin to pop up,” he said. “I think the best chance for some isolated severe weather will be in our northern counties. That’s where heavy rain, small hail and straight-line wind damage will be the threat.”
At the moment, it does not look like we have a tornado threat, however, as we go into Wednesday we could get some heavy rain.
On Wednesday, the thunderstorms could remain stationary in the Houston area for much of the morning, increasing the chance of flooding from heavy rainfall. The chance for rain Wednesday is at 50 percent.
