HOUSTON – Enjoy the spring-like weather while it lasts, KHOU 11 News Chief Meteorologist David Paul said.

This week’s above average temperatures will continue into the weekend and the early part of next week. However, a cold front is expected to make its way through the Houston area sometime on Wednesday bringing rain and cooler temperatures.

In the meantime, expect the weekend weather to be much like Friday with highs in the upper-70s to low-80s with lows in the upper-50s. The warm temperatures are about 15 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

There is also a good chance for fog late Friday evening and maybe Sunday morning especially in the coastal communities, so be careful when out driving.

Have a safe and happy weekend.
